Hello, I was asking regarding the posters you created. Will you be doing Lightning Returns as well as an updated version for FF XV?. I'd feel real appreciated and took your time to make these two. (・ω・)ノ

Hi jakeben123,
Thank you for your interest in these posters - I appreciate it ^_^ To answer your question, as soon as I have some updated info and clear screenshots to go off of, I am definitely making an updated FFXV to release. I am going to do a lightning returns one as well now that it’s out as well as updating the design of FFIX (since it always felt incomplete to me after I released it - this will be released as an alternate version). Given that the process takes about a week per poster, I am aiming to have these up for sale and exposure late July (taken my personal schedule into account).

Thanks again for your interest. Spread the word about the posters, and maybe I just might adapt another iconic video game series in he same style later on with enough interest ;)

I'm still learning my way around Tumblr, and I'm lost! I've tried your "Vintage Posters" tag and "Final Fantasy" tag and "25th anniversary" tag to no avail... I can find some of the posters, but mostly feedback about the posters or one collage of all of them in a size so small my old eyes can't see 'em. I'd love to see the rest... how?

Hi Auronlu,

Sorry for the late response - work has been keeping my busy lately. In response to your question, I released these posters on the day of FF’s 25th anniversary, which was (I think) Tue, Dec. 18th, 2012. The easiest way for you to be able to check out all of the posters is to head on over to these posts of my blog :)

I also did some other posters based on requests: FFTactics, X-2, XIII-2, and comissioned two posters for saving Type-0 and XV (which were once Agito XIII and Vs XIII). If you would like to purchase any of them in a variety of sizes, feel free to check out the store page here:

Hope that helps, and if you have any ideas for other vintage video game posters, let me know! :)

Sincerely,

Brett

Excited that Versus XIII is now officially XV? :D I know you said you'd be taking a break after making the Vintage FF posters but eventually I'd love to see one for FFXV.

Hi Appledoze (killer name btw),

I am TOTALLY STOKED for XV - it looks badass, and I’ve always wanted it to be a separate game from the Novella Fabula Chrysallis whatever since XIII came out. I am taking a break at the moment to prusue a personal project called “Seeds of Sentiment” (which you can check out at HERE, and I will return to more vintage video game posters come this fall. However, I have already made a vs XIII poster at the request of a Final Fantasy Online Group ;)

Feel free to check it out HERE, and once XV comes out, I plan on doing another for it as an update to its name change. Stay cool!

Hi all you happy tumblrites,
After taking a break from tumblr after my Vintage Final Fantasy Poster series (and inadvertently re-joining facebook), I’ve been working steadily on a personal project of mine that has been dormant/growing beneath the surface for almost 3 years now, and I think it’s time to bring it to the surface with hopes of connecting with some cool people on the internet to help accelerate its progress.
"So what the heck is ‘Seeds of Sentiment’" you may ask?
I’ll explain it as best as I can in as few words as possible: It’s an anthology of motion comic stories all linked to the first story’s main character, “Buddy Willis” (the guy in red flannel) who ventures on an inward journey to find meaning in his desolate, purposeless 20-something life. Problem is, he has no memory of what specific location he is in or why the world around him looks like a complete wasteland littered with ruins, but he sets out to find out…whether he likes it or not.
The goal is to assemble a team of talented artists, programmers, promo people, and anyone in-between who can lend a piece of mind to this cerebral, surreal adventure - possibly through a kickstarter or indiegogo campaign. For now, a facebook page has been created for the project, so if you would like to check out the page HERE check it out as it grows.
Ultimately, the plan is to have 13 stories completed, but for now, I just want to successfully complete Buddy’s Perspective of the Story.
Here goes nothing…

An internet friend and loyal fan of the Vintage Final Fantasy Posters bought the whole bunch for his apartment wall in Vancouver. It’s amazing to see all of them in print and in reality :)

Since you've done the Final Fantasy series in full. Have you thought about the Dragon Quest series? Considering it's now in the same company with Final Fantasy and all...

That’s a good question. I haven’t thought about it before since I’ve only played Dragon Quest VIII (and loved it), but it’s definitely something to consider if there is a demand. I’m also considering doing some retro arcade games or some other notable franchises as vintage posters, but I am unsure as to make them in a similar style as the FF ones or not. Any thoughts?

Ahh, the days of my youth when I thought the Japanese trading cards made me cooler than the cool kids. Too bad I couldn’t understand what was written on the cards
